C@LL fundraiser for First Touch

We are a big-hearted bunch at C@LL. When we found out that a teacher was raising funds for the paediatric intensive care unit that saved her baby daughter, we were keen to help. Many of our children started life in a baby unit or were born premature.

Half way through lockdown one Linden Lodge pupils and their families started a walk to help raise money for St George’s baby unit charity First Touch.

The walk was started by Beccy Brann, a teacher at Linden Lodge many of you will know. Her newborn daughter Freya spent the first weeks of her life in the unit earlier this year.

Tragically Beccy’s husband Warren died in a car collision just after lockdown.

To support Beccy and her baby girl, we took on the walk for her. So far our fabulous children and their families have walked or wheeled or been pushed 500 miles to reach Beccy’s target and help her raise money.

We can’t wait to join Beccy for a real life walk one day soon. Lots of love to you and Freya. x
